Back in the 1980s the Khmer Rouge fought a guerrilla war against the Vietnamese occupiers and the Cambodian government. Hundreds of thousands of Cambodians rushed to the border with Thailand to escape the violence and to avoid the famine, which threatened Cambodia.

Small Miracles is a six-part documentary series set inside a pioneering children’s surgical hospital in Phnom Penh, where life-changing operations offer hope to some of the country’s most vulnerable families. The series follows dedicated international surgeons working side by side with Cambodian medical staff, performing complex procedures while training the next generation of Khmer professionals. Beyond the operating theatre, cameras capture the emotional journeys of patients, families, and caregivers — revealing the resilience, compassion, and quiet determination that drive this extraordinary institution.

In a nation where resources are limited but spirit is boundless, Small Miracles is a moving portrait of skill, sacrifice, and the transformative power of healing.

Berlin techno culture is a sound born from history, freedom, and reinvention. Emerging from the raw energy following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Berlin techno became more than music. It was a movement — a soundtrack of reunification where East and West connected through rhythm inside abandoned industrial spaces. Defined by openness, anonymity, and creative freedom, the culture grew into one of the world’s most influential electronic music scenes and was officially recognized in 2024 as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Phnom Penh’s Riverside Walk Street will host the open-air cultural event “European Dance Music: The Sound of Germany” on Saturday, 28 February 2026, from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
