For the last 40 years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been traveling through the continents, in the footsteps of an ever-changing humanity. He has witnessed some of the major events of our recent history; international conflicts, starvation, and exodus.

SALT OF THE EARTH (2014, 109 min) follows the Brazilian star photographer embarks on the discovery of pristine territories, wild fauna and flora, and grandiose landscapes as part of a huge photographic project which is a tribute to the planet’s beauty.

Juliano Ribeiro Salgado and famous German co-director Wim Wenders showcase his work while giving him a platform to express his philosophical and political views.
