Four local Berliners recruit a thrill-seeking Spanish woman (Laia Costa) to be their getaway driver for a bank robbery. Full of twists that feel authentic and believable characters, Sebastian Schipper’s “Victoria” (2015, 140 min) grips from the first compelling frame to the last. Schipper’s technique, shooting the entire movie in one continuous shot, over dozens of locations without the aid of special effects or CGI is flashy and eye grabbing, but more importantly lends a sense of immediacy to the story.
