Jocelyn Glatzer’s docu THE FLUTE PLAYER (2003, 90min) is about “Cambodian Living Arts” founder Arn Chorn-Pond. While most Khmer musicians were killed, Arn was kept alive to play propaganda songs for the Khmer Rouge cadres. As a child survivor of unimaginable horrors, he claimed his ability to speak, and with it the power to make things happen.
