The Franco-Cambodian artist is based in Phnom Penh for several years. Graduated from Icart Paris, she was an art dealer and organizer of auctions.

Some common finds in the universe of VA CHERCHER BONHEUR are distinctive emblems of the khmer culture and way of living: Buddhas, exotic fruits and flowers, animals and insects, Apsara dancers and the monkey hero Hanuman.

Using a punch needle or an electric gun (tufting gun), these techniques allow the insertion of acrylic and Oeko-Tex cotton threads into the canvas.

The artist considers her art as a form of meditation: this slow and meticulous work requires patience and concentration, whose results only appear at the end of the creative process, allowing me to materialize my dream-like inner world.

My work combines drawing, embroidery, shaving and collage.
All of the fluffy rugs are unique pieces, made entirely by hands, and each one of them comes with a custom-made protective fabric bag and an authenticity card.
