Metaestetica Lab @ museum represents an attempt to create the only Contemporary Art Museum in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia, self-proclaimed and managed by Carlo Santoro. It is a private mini-museum housed in a 10 square meter room at the Cambodian-German Cultural Centre ‘Meta House’, supported for the time being also by the Italian-Cambodian Business Association (ICBA) and the Italian Cambodian Arts project. Convinced that space does not represent a limit but rather a possibility for experimentation, we plan to initiate a continuous rotation of the exhibited works in the next six months. This operation will involve not only artists, but also the collectors who have had the courage to believe in this future over the last twenty years. “(Visions) On the Future” of Today that re-opens perspectives on a Future for a Contemporary in Cambodia.
