Meta House in Phnom Penh is very happy to announce a new and ambitious installation by two artists – one from Germany, one from Cambodia. Lars Breuer (Germany) typically works with large, text-based installations that draw on references to art history and literature while aesthetically suggesting a dialogue between architecture, design, and fine arts. Breuer collaborates with Cambodian female artist Koem Keo Socheat from Kampot Province. Socheat’s parents are farmers; she is the first person in her home village to study at an university. Socheat graduated from the Royal University of Fine Arts – RUFA – in 2018. She prefers to work with oil or watercolour, pen or pencil, textiles and natural materials.
