Cambodia – Past & Present! Two seasoned ex-pat writers reveal parts of their new, very different, books. British journalist and TV producer Glen Felgate presents his first book, “From Phnom Penh with Love; Confessions of a Media Executive,” a fictional tale of a war correspondent hired by a Cambodian businessman to launch a radio station from scratch. The story bears a striking resemblance to Felgate’s own life. As a war correspondent and producer with Reuters he covered conflicts in the Balkans and Africa before moving to Cambodia where he was hired to launch a television network, from scratch. Matthew Robinson is a British-Cambodian TV and film executive producer, producer, director and writer. After graduating from Cambridge University. Robinson directed many hundreds of episodes of popular British TV dramas and soap operas in the 1970s and 1980s. In 2020, the co-founder of the Phnom Penh-based media production “Khmer Mekong Films” was awarded citizenship by the Royal Cambodian Government. He presents his first “Duel for Supremacy”.
