Event Details

François Ponchaud is a French Catholic priest and missionary to Cambodia. He is best known for his documentation of the Khmer Rouge genocide, and for being one of the first people to expose the human rights abuses being carried out at the time.
The documentary THE CROSS AND THE BODDHI TREE (2001, 43 min) portrays the extraordinary spiritual journeys of Father Ponchaud, a French Catholic priest, and Mother Rosemary, an English Anglican nun. It interweaves the bustle, anguish and antiquities of Cambodia on the one hand with the serene poise of an enclosed convent in England on the other.
Free Entrance.
