Meta House film workshops are open to anyone who wants to explore the art and technique of film production. They are taught by a faculty of active, award-winning filmmakers, generally on the weekends, and encourage hands-on learning in a supportive environment.

However, the best way to learn filmmaking is to make films, with the support and guidance of experienced industry practitioners. Meta House documentary film tutors are working industry professionals who are as passionate about teaching as they are about film. Tutors are chosen for their knowledge of their discipline as well as their ability to inspire. Collectively, they have been nominated and received numerous awards. Not only will students be taught by industry professionals, with up to date knowledge of the industry, they will also develop a network of contacts by engaging with professionals during their time at Meta House to enable them to launch their career.

Moreover, we give early support to projects that hold the promise of a story that should be uniquely told in film. We enable filmmakers to develop their projects to the next level, moving beyond the early stage when funding is hard to find.
