What if teenagers didn’t wait for solutions, but created their own? In Cambodia, 14 students aged 14–16 took on plastic pollution and community responsibility through an entirely student-driven theatre project.

From the first idea to the final performance and film adaptation, the students imagined, wrote, staged and produced the entire piece themselves. With guidance from facilitators—but with the vision, voice and ownership firmly in their hands—they turned a local challenge into a story about responsibility, teamwork and hope.

Created in collaboration with GIZ Cambodia, AUPP Liger Leadership Academy and Meta House Phnom Penh, Together: The Last Hope is more than a theatre production. It is a powerful experiment in youth leadership, creativity and collective action.
